Say what, now?

Songfinder is a webservice that helps you identify songs you hear on the radio. How you say? Excellent question! Say, you're consuming some high quality radio broadcasts, and a song comes on that you love. But, oh noes! You don't remember the name of the song, and you need to know now! Whatever will you do? I'll tell you what you'll do. You'll send an email with just the callsign of the radiostation in the message body to song@scalfstock.com (you can use a pound sign '#' in place of the '@' on your cell phone). Within 60 seconds, we'll reply with the title and name of artist that performs the song.

What are callsigns?

Callsigns are 4 letter 'nicknames' for radio stations, like "WJLB" or "WRIF". Only put the callsign in the email! I'm not responsible for the wacky crap you'll get in your inbox if you try to rape the songfinder with gobbledygook via email.

Whats the catch?

You'd expect to pay up to 300 of your American dollars for this service, and you would anywhere else... if you could find this anywhere else. But Songfinder is a free service. Stick that in your pants and rub it! You get an 'A' for the day if you're asking yourself how you're getting this for free. Well, some shmoe left all their brodcast data out on the interweb, so we're parsing it all and regurgitating it back to you, like a caring mother swallow feeding her disgusting, transparent skinned offspring. Delicious!

My phone doesn't send email!

Most phones do send email. Try sending it from the text message screen to song#scalfstock.com. If that doesn't work, you can still visit this page to find "whats playing" info.
